Right in the Middle of It

Oranienburger Straße is a street at the center of the center ('Mitte') of Berlin.
This one kilometer long street used to be the main Jewish area of Berlin (New Synagogue) and there is a lot of history to be found close by.
The many sights, and a large number of bars, restaurants and cafés attract many tourists. The street is also known for its street prostitution.

There are quite a lot of sights like the New Synagoge, the Postfuhramt and the Tacheles.

Hundreds of Restaurants and Cafés make this area a very popular place to spend an evening. And if you want to spend your days shopping, you are also in the right place.

Mitte also abounds in accommodations, both high end Hotels and very afordable Hostels.

Gravitating away from the center
